【摘要】:1.1Thispracticecoversthestructuraldesignofreinforcementforfittingsinfactory-made,roundcorrugatedsteelpipe,conformingtoSpecificationsA760/A760MorA762/A762M,foruseasstormandsanitarysewersandotherburiedapplications.Thispracticeisforfittingsonpipeinstalledinatrenchorembankmentandsubjectedtoearthloadsandliveloads.Itmustberecognizedthataburiedcorrugatedpipeisacompositestructuremadeupofthesteelringandthesoilenvelope,andbothelementsplayavitalpart.BothmainandbranchpipeshallbedesignedinaccordancewithPracticeA796/A796MandinstalledinaccordancewithPracticeA798/A798M.1.2Thispracticecoversthestructuraldesignofreinforcementforfittingssuchasthoseforbranchpipes.RefertoSection5fordesignlimitations.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.4Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundunitsorSIunitsshallberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother,withoutcombiningvaluesinanyway.SIunitsareshowninbracketsinthetextforclarity,buttheyaretheapplicablevalueswhenthedesignistobeperformedusingSIunits.
